Downy Mildew
Description
- Uncommon in wheat crops
- Sometimes seen in small outbreaks during waterlogging and green bridge
Symptoms
- Yellow leaves, stunted and excessive tillering in young plants
- Advanced plants with misshapen leaves and heads. Often thickened and twisted leaves
Damage
- Unlikley to have significant yield impact.
Control
Treatment not warranted. Control of green bridge grass weeds and volunteer cereals will act as a sound prevention approach near paddock boundaries
