Abiotic constraints in Wheat
Abiotic in-crop constraints for wheat
Group K herbicide damage
Constraint – Group K herbicide damage
- Plants germinate but fail to emerge
- Seedlings are often malformed and twisted, with leaves tightly rolled which do not unroll normally
- Stunted twisted seedlings
There is no treatment available. Preventative measures include ensuring soil throw on the inter-row whilst maintaining a seed furrow free from herbicide.
